Recently, the economic indicators have shown to be inadequate because of the unemployment rate in America. Many jobs have been lost and people are placing the blame on this. Two economists, Joseph E. The article I found is called “Emphasis on Growth is Mis-guided” and was in the New York Times. It was about the fact that jobs are disappearing so quickly and many life savings have been surrendered due to the thought that economic indicators are inadequate. Many economists urge the idea of new assessment tools that incorporate a broader concern for human resourcing. Global crisis affects Lebanese GDP growth forecasts

A projection stated by International monetary fund official said that Lebanon’s GDP growth in 2009 will be revised to less than 5 percent due to the unfavorable market conditions. However, Portugal, disagreed with this projection after holding talks with the Prime Minister, the Finance Minister, and several Lebanese bankers. (more…)

Japan Appoints New Finance Minister After G-7 Row

Japan prime minister Taro Aso, embarrassed and ashamed by a recent event that took place at a Group of Seven conference on Saturday in Rome quickly appointed a new finance minister on Tuesday. Japan’s financial minister Shoichi Nakagawa showed up to the conference visibly intoxicated and unable to actively participate. (more…)
